11678 D.A. John S. Burley D.H. R.N.R. Born in Grimsby, Lincolnshire on 17.4.1883, Burley enlisted on 15 July 1916. He served as a Deck Hand and was disembodied in 1919. According to the 1939 Register he hadn't strayed far from his roots and was a Fish Dock Labourer in Grimsby. This is also where he passed away in 1940.
