Peter Brunton Chaters served with the Royal Artillery and was born in Gateshead Durham on 5.6.1911. He served on the North West Frontier (Afghanistan) with the 3rd (Corunna) Light Battery. He was awarded the IGS 1935 on 19.9.1936 and the IGS 1936/37 on 30.11.1938. His LSGCM was awarded to him on 5.11.1947. He earned the Defence Medal in WWII
He died in London in May 1996
