Charles Hubert Tayler was a 37 year old Night Watchman living in Wandsworth with no previous military service when he enlisted in November 1915 with the 3rd East Surrey's. Born in Highgate, Middlesex, he later served with the 109 Company, Labour Corps (65259). He passed away on 14 January 1919, at Oakhurst Hospital, Erith from Pneumonia whilst on leave from France
