Eleanor was the daughter of a Clergyman. She volunteered for service in France and worked as a Canteen Worker earning the gratitude of the French who awarded her the two abovenamed medals in addition to the British issue.
She married in 1937 and according to the 1939 Register was living at Two Gables, Malmesbury, Wilts with her Retired Solicitor husband.
She passed away at Devizes in Wilts on 2.2.1958.
