Sidney Wellington RN was born in Plymouth 1893 A Postman in later life, he served with the Royal Navy in WWI, primarily aboard the vessels Defiance; Doris and Cornwall. He was recalled for WWII serving aboard Europa. 

Post-war he was a Post Office employee, earning his Imperial Service Medal as a Postman on 31 October 1958

He died in Macclesfield, Cheshire on 1.2.1985. 

Sold with original Imperial Service Medal Award Certificate, original retirement scroll from the Post Office and other documentation.
