S/122716 Sgt Leonard Roy Martindale Born Codford Wilts on 25.8.1919 Served with 716 Company (Parachute Brigade) Royal Army Service Corps. His regiment served in a support role in the Battle of the Bulge on 25 December 1944. He went on to serve in Palestine in 1945. Martindale was adopted by Clara E Parker and was, in the 1921 census living with her in Thomas Street, Bath. 

According to the 1939 Register he was a Butcher's Roundsman living at 2 Brunswick Cottages, Bath.

He passed away in Bristol in May 1989
