121628 Captain Kenneth William Williams was born in about 1911 and served with 2nd Bn North Staffs. He served in WW2 3/3 Gurkha Rifles Burma and died of disease 13.9.1946 aged 37 Remembered Kirkee War Cemetery. He was posthumously M.I.D. for Burma on 19.9.1946 (LG page 4701)

According to the 1939 Register - "Stoughton" in Sutton-on-Ashfield is the home of the Taylor family. A daughter, Adeline P Taylor married a Williams and is the lady to whom the medals were sent in 1948.
