Frederick George Mahoney was engaged 11th Jan 1884 a 16 year old labourer from Aldershot. Continued in service during WWI and discharged 29th Oct 1919 as a PO. Survived the sinking of HMS Victoria in March 1893, served aboard St George during the Brass River 1895 expedition, entitled to have Mwele 1895-96 added to the rim of his medal but did not submit it for naming. Entitled to 15 Star Trio also. 174 clasps issued to St george and 221 men entitled to Mwele 1895-6. Recorded in 1939 register as a Cook at the Naval Barracks in Portsmouth and also a Pensioned CPO Royal Navy.
