According to the 1939 Register William John Greenslade and his wife Hilda were living at 8 War Road, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire. William was a Motor Fitter on the Great Western Railways and Hilda was at home, a member of the A.R.P. (Air Raid Precautions)
They had moved to 53 Lynton Avenue, Tettenhall, Staffordshire by the time the medals were ready for despatch.
William passed away in Wolverhampton in June 1967 and Hilda died in Wolverhampton in July 1996.
