Claude Hills was Mentioned in Dispatches (LG 1 January 1946) whilst serving as a Chief Electrical Artificer in H.M.S. Woolwich. Having seen service in Korea in the early 50's he was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire in the rank of Electrical Lieutenant Commander whilst in service on the Staff of the Commander-in-Chief, Home Fleet. He was invested with his M.B.E. on 15 November 1966 (LG 1 June 1966)
He passed away at 13 East Cosham Road, Cosham, Portsmouth on 15 April 2005.
