Edward Herbert Lewis served with the 63rd Coy MGC in WWI. He was born in Shrewsbury on 18.10.1885. He was Wounded in Action (Shell Wound) on 29.12.1917. According to his file he was x2 recommended for distinguished conduct in the field. He was rewarded with the award of the Belgian Croix de Guerre which appeared in the London Gazette of 12.7.1918.
According to the 1939 Register he lived at 32 Mill Bank, Telford, Wellington, Shropshire and was an Omnibus Inspector by occupation.
