W/O Arthur Thomas Bennett was born in Portsmouth on 1.1.1899. He served with the Royal Navy Air Service with no. L8878 before transferring to the RAF on 1.1.1918. A career serviceman, he continued on after WWI and was admitted to Old Sarum Military Hospital on 5.4.1924 with a contusion of the back whilst stationed at Old Sarum in Wiltshire.
He was on the Air Force List as a Warrant Officer in 1941 with seniority from 11.11.1939.
An accompanying note with the medals claims that Bennett was entitled to King Faisal's Iraq Active Service Medal.
