Pte Floyd served in South Africa with 2nd Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps, roll states transferred to 2nd Battalion in India 19th July 1900 and also entitled to Relief of Ladysmith clasp however this clasp is never referred to in his service papers.
Albert Floyd from Birmingham initially enlisted in Royal Warwick Regiment (3rd Bn) Militia as a 17 year 8 month old on 24th June 1896. Subsequently enlisted into KRRC on 18th January 1898. He spent 19 months in South Africa with 2nd Bn then transferred to 2nd Bn in India. After 4 years in India he returned to the UK and transferred to the Reserve. Discharged 1n 1906, fully discharged from 1st class reserve in 1910 and fully discharged January 1914.
