Frederick (Frank) George of 90 Church Road, Stanley, Liverpool was born in Liverpool 4.6.1885 He served with the 4th Divisional Train Army Service Corps in France from 16.8.1914 transferring to the RFC/RAF. A Mechanical Engineer with the Automatic Telephone Company of Edge Lane, Liverpool. Since joining the RFC he flew Maurice Farman's; Henry Farman's; DH 1A; Avro and Sopwith Scouts.

He was Seriously injured in an Aero accident in Yatesbury, Wilts on 20.8.1917. An account of the incident is given is the press cutting attached to this item.

George was commissioned 2/Lieutenant on 1.4.1918. Declared permanently Unfit on 31.5.1918

According to the 1939 Register he was a Retired RAF Officer living at 46 Leamington Road, Southport

He died on 10.4.1972
