Percy Walter Davenport (or Walter Percy as he was also known) was born in Wedhampton, Staffordshire on 1 July 1886. A Steel Metal Worker by trade, he attested for service with the RAMC and saw service in WWI with them, going to France on 4 March 1915.
He was discharged to the Reserve on 8 July 1919 but re-engaged with the RAMC on 7 July 1920. He continued to extend his service until 1937, earning the Territorial Forces Efficiency Medal with no. 421021 in 1919. The clasp to the TFEM was awarded to him in 1930.
According to the 1939 Register he was a Sheet Metal Worker, Aircraft, living at 19 Selwyn Close, Wolverhampton. Davenport passed away in Wolverhampton on 21 August 1971.
The British War Medal and Efficiency Medal both have a couple of EK's however, the integrity of the naming is not affected. Sold with some research. Please note the discrepancy in the initials on the EM as opposed to the other medals - they are, however, all to the same recipient.
