William Harman was born in 1886. He enlisted for service on 1 September 1914 and was sent to France with the 6th Bn Royal West Surreys on 1.6.1915. Reported Wounded in Action on 19 January 1916 he Died of Wounds at the age of 30 on 15.3.1916 and is buried in Croydon (Queens Road) Cemetery.
His next of kin was his mother, Mrs Lilian Harman of 91 Northwood Road, Thornton Heath.
