South Africa Medal 1853 (CLERK COMMIST. H. DE BEER.)
H De Beer served as a Clerk in the Commissariat in the 3rd Kaffir of Frontier War in the Cape Colony of South Africa in 1853. Most likely a Cape Dutch Colonial his service commenced in 1834 and he would have been embroiled in the campaign against the Xhosa tribe in the eastern part of the Cape. It ended in the subjugation of the Ciskei Xhosa tribe.
Medal is in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold with some medal roll and information on the war.
