British Empire Medal EIIR (WILLIAM JAMES HAZLEY); Imperial Service Medal EIIR (WILLIAM JAMES HAZLEY B.E.M.)
William James Hazley was born in about 1910. Having worked for more than 30 years for the Department of the Environment, latterly as a Chargehand Groundsman, he was awarded the British Empire Medal in the LG of 15.6.1974.
This was followed by the award of the Imperial Service Medal which featured in the LG of 16.1.1976.
Hazley married in 1934 and was spritely enough to celebrate his 60th wedding anniversary in 1994. He lived at 48 Antrim Road, Lisburn, Northern Ireland and passed away on 29 December 2012.
