Hubert John Arthur lived in London. He enlisted with the Royal Engineers on 23.11.1936 and embarked for Iraq on 27.8.1942, seeing service in North Africa where he was WIA in Tunisia on 12.5.1943 whilst with 221 Field Coy RE. He remained on Duty. Thereafter he served in Italy with the 13th Field Section RE in 1944 until his discharge in 1945. His medals were posted to 40 Arundel Gardens, Notting Hill, London in 1949
His Efficiency Medal was awarded to him in 1944. He passed away in West Hampstead, London on 18 June 1968.
