War Medal 1939-45 - unnamed as awarded in box of issue with condolence slip addressed to Mrs S George, 1 Somerton Road, Martham, nr Great Yarmouth.
Cubit Stanley George Armes was born in Flegg, Norfolk on 3 November 1912. He served with the Royal Army Service Corps in WWII and died in service on 17 November 1940 in Luton, Bedfordshire. His wife, Stella, married a Mr George after his death.
According to the 1939 Register he was a Grocery Draper, Motor Driver and Palesman living at No.3 Bell Yard, White Street, Blofield and Flogg, Norfolk.
Medal is in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold with some research.
