India General Service Medal clasp Samana 1891 (1187 Naick Amar Sing Sahi 1st Bn 3rd Gurkha Regt.)
Awarded to members of the second Miranzai Expeditionary Force, under Sir W.S.A.Lockhart KCB, CSI, who operated in the Miranzai valley and against the Samana Heights where a local Muslim cleric, Syed Mir Basha, had declared a 'jihad'. Awarded for service from 5th April to 25th May 1891.
Medal is in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Suspension is slightly slack. An incision made at "G" for Gurkha to test for silver content. Sold with some research.
