Victory Medal (2431 A.CPL. W. HEMSLEY. NORTH'D FUS.)
Walter Hemsley was born in Durham in 1889. He attested for service with the 2 North'd Fusiliers in 1908 and was posted to first France and then Salonika on 19 January 1915. He was transferred to the 28th Division Cycle Corps with no. 3436 on 18 February 1915 and was discharged to the Reserve on 23 April 1919.
Hemsley died in Darlington in December 1934.
Medal is in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold with some research. Also entitled to the 1914-15 Star and British War Medals which are not included.
