William Albert Hipperson was born on 26.4.1884 in Rye, Sussex. He served in France from 8.9.1914 with 6 Divisional Train, ASC and was twice MID - for services in France on 31.12.1915 and on 8.7.1919. He was highly thought of and as awarded the Meritorious Service Medal on 17 October 1916 and the French Medaille d''Honneur on 11 July 1919. He was awarded the Army LSGCM in 1921.
He was granted an Emergency Commission - Lt/Quartermaster RASC - in 1939, relinquishing his commission in 1942. His CS20 indicates that no medals were awarded to him for WWII.
He passed away in Littlestone, Kent in 1964
