Andrew Munro was from Leith in Scotland - he served in France with the 241st Siege Bty from 4.10.1914 and was MID in Sir Douglas Haig's dispatch of 20 December 1918. He was one of only 390 British servicemen to be awarded the French Medal of Honour in silver in the LG of 14 July 1919 and received further recognition for his services with the award of the Meritorious Service Medal in October 1919.
