Police Exemplary Long Service Medal EIIR (CONST. BRIAN S. ANGLES)
Brian Shadforth Angles was born in Hartlepool, Durham on 19 August 1928. According to the 1939 Register he was a school boy living at 27 Mulgrave Road, West Hartlepool, along with his family.
He joined the Police and served, primarily, in the Scarborough and Ryedale area. He died in Scarborough in October 1994 after a brave battle with motor neurone disease after serving for 27 years in uniform.
According to a press report in the Scarborough Evening News of 1 November 1994, he had served eight years in the Royal Marines prior to joining the Police Force.
Medal is in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold with some research.
