Police Exemplary Long Service Medal GVIR, 2nd type (INSPR. REGINALD M. MCKEON) - in box of issued labelled 38 West Sussex.

Reginald Michael McKeon was born in Streatham, Surrey on 8 October 1904. He joined the Police in 1926 and served at Chichester, Arundel, Finden and Worthing

According to the 1939 Register he was already a Police Sergeant living at 60 Ham Road, in Worthing. He left Worthing in 1940 to go to the Chief Constable's Office at Chichester, returning in 1952, not long before his retirement, to take over the duties of Patrol Inspector still with the West Sussex Constabulary. 

He retired in August 1952 and passed away in North Dorset on 14 September 1998.

Medal is in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold with some research.
