Police Exemplary Long Service Medal EIIR (CONST. ROGER M.M. THOMPSON)
Thompson was born in Uckfield, Sussex in 1933. He made headlines in 1980 for arresting a verbally abusive Nobel Peace Prize winner at Heathrow Airport in 1980.
Thompson died in Uckfield on 9 September 2009.
