Special Constabulary Medal EIIR with Long Service 1965 bar (ROLAND S.W. SIMMONS)
Roland Samuel William Simmons was born in Malmesbury, Wiltshire in 1906.
According to the 1939 Register he was a qualified Embalmer and Assistant Funeral Director living at 39 St Johns Road, Harrogate. He was also an ARP Warden and a Casualties Disposal official. In later years he was a Special Constable.
He lived at 2 Newland Avenue, Harrogate at the time of his wife's death in 1971. He passed away in Lancaster in 1998
