Thomas Clark Ewing was probably born in about 1915. He served in WWII with the 10th Bn Highland Light Infantry and was commissioned a Lieutenant in the London Gazette of 12 March 1941.
He was reported Wounded in Action in North West Europe on 5 July 1944 and on 7 August 1944 - his regiment formed part of the 15th (Scottish) Division, who fought intensely in Normandy, landing in late June, a few days after D-Day.
During July and August 1944 - the period in which he was wounded, hey engaged in heavy combat around Cheux and Hill 112 in July and took part in Operation Bluecoat in early August, including the assault on Estry, followed by the push toward the Falaise Pocket.
Medals are in good condition unless otherwise indicated. Sold with some research.
