Bernard Roland Schonbeck was born in Willesden, London on 7 October 1909. A Truck Driver, he served with the 2/11 Australian Infantry Battalion WWII, attesting for service on 30 July 1942. He was discharged on 17 January 1946.
He was described as " Very keen and attentive but slow to absorb instruction." He served in New Guinea against the Japanese.
Schonbeck passed away in Springwood, New South Wales on 25 July 1999.
