George Frederick Angell was born in Staines on 20 May 1911. He served as a Signalman with the 1st Indian Divisional Signals on the North West Frontier in 1935 and was active in North Africa and Italy in WW2. 

According to the 1939 Register Angell was a War Office Inspector of Wireless living at 28 Samuel Street, Woolwich. He is also mentioned as a Royal Signals Reservist with no. 6283947 which tallies with his army number.

He died in Norwich, Norfolk in 1998.
