Father: John Goodwyn Jefferson born Worksop, Nottinghamshire 1881. Enlisted ASC October 1915 and later Royal Defence Corps in WWI. A Fireman, he was awarded the National Fire Brigade Long Service Medal on 4 March 1932. According to the 1939 Register he was a Chauffer/Mechanic living at 28 Mildenhall Drive, Hastings. He passed away in Hastings in March 1950.

Son: Burma Star; War Medal 1939-45 unnamed as awarded but attributed to 14759136 Sgt Alec Hugh Jefferson 227 Works Section R.E. - with Soldiers Release Book; Army Form B Certificate; Medal award slip; 5th Battalion Royal Sussex Regiment medallion reverse engraved Hissey Cup 1935 and Surrey Yeomanry cap badge. Jefferson was born on 21 November 1913 in St Leonards on Sea. A Plumber by trade, he was a Visitor at the YMCA Youth Camp in Farnborough, Hants according to the 1939 Register. His medals are confirmed on the medal index card and were posted to him on 16 January 1953 to 9 Mildenhall Drive, Hollington, St Leonards on Sea, Sussex. He died in Hastings in April 1996.

Medals are in good condition unless otherwise indicated. Sold with a quantity of small photographs pertaining to both father and son.
