The second issue of the India General Service Medal 1908, this with the crowned head of King George V surrounded by the legend GEORGIVS V KAISER-I-HIND on a raised border. originally struck in silver and bronze. this type was in use from the bor 1911-12 clasp up to the Waziristan 1925 clasp. This medal is die-struck in the same manner as the originals from a base metal alloy and plated with pure silver.
