Clasp - Tirah 1897-98

Awarded for service between 2^nd October 1897 and 6^th April 1898.
Authorised in June 1898 and granted to teh Tirah Field Force under Lt General Sir W.S.A.Lockhart KCB, KCSI, which included the Kurram column, Peshawar column and Rawal Pindi Brigade which proceeded beyond Kohat or Peshawar. Those tropps who were on the lines of communication as well as those in the Swat Valley also received the clasp which was not issued singly.
