The Caribbean Realms, comprising Grenada, St Lucia, Antigua & Barbuda, Jamaica, Barbados, Bahamas, St Vincent and The Grenadines, Saint Kitts and Nevis are islands that have all taken independence from the UK but retained the Queen as Head of State.
Worcestershire Medal Service Ltd were selected by the Governors General of the Realms to manufacture the medal which has the same obverse as the UK Medal, but with a different legend. The reverse features the crowned cipher of The Queen with the words 'Caribbean Realms' above and the dates 1952-2012 below.
The ribbon is identical to the UK version but with the centre red stripe being replaced by black.
The medal was awarded to 12 UK citizens.
