Royal Victorian Medal (Silver) CIIIR manufactured in sterling silver.
Awarded to those below the rank of officers who perform personal services to the Sovereign or Royal Family. Originally awarded in silver or bronze, a higher class, in silver-gilt was instituted by George V. This can be worn alongside silver or bronze versions of the medal, taking precedence in the order of wear.
Foreign recipients wear a ribbon with an additional central white stripe to distinguish them as designated associates.
