Indian Mutiny Medal no clasp (PATK. CUNNINGHAM 64TH REGT.)
Patrick Cunningham was a 17 year old Labourer from Ballyrush, Ballymore Co. Sligo on enlistment at Boyle, Co Roscommon on 18th January 1840. He served with the Colours for 21 years and 171 days before being discharged free, with Pension on 3 July 1862.
13 1/2 years of his service was in India which included service during the Indian Mutiny. His conduct rating on discharge was Very Good and he was awarded the Long Service & Good Conduct Medal. His intended place of residence on discharge was Cavan, Ireland.
Sold with copy of the medal roll and papers. Also entitled to "Persian Medal and Clasp and Long Service and Good Conduct Medal." which are not included. Suspension has been repaired at some time.
