Charles Fred Peter Simpson was born in Eton, Bucks. in 1928. According to the 1939 Register he was a Pupil at The Downs School, Charlton House, Bettney Nr Bristol.
He joined the Royal Navy and served in Korea in the early 50's. A career Navy man he was a Lieutenant Commander with seniority from 16 February 1959. He was still serving in the early 1970's when he was awarded the MBE in the New Years Honours List of 1972 (LG 1.1.1972.)
He passed away in the South West in 2004.
