Arthur Perrett was born in Pendleton, Lancashire on 15 October 1881. He enlisted with the Royal Navy with number 201657 in 1898 and saw service aboard Northampton, Curacoa and Argonaut before joining the Royal Fleet Reserve on 15 April 1905. He re-enrolled with the Royal Navy on 5 June 1911 and was active during WWI where he served on the Bacchante and Impregnable before being invalided out of the service on 9 February 1916. He was awarded the Silver War Badge no. 18273 issued to him on 13 October 1917. His RFR LSGCM was awarded to him on 12 May 1923 

According to the 1939 Register he was a Hydraulic Lift Attendant living at 93 Yew Tree Road, Manchester. He was also a Royal Navy Disability Pensioner.

Perrett was a keen lawn bowler as evidenced by the two medallions he won - once as a runner-up and the other as the competition winner.

His address at the time his wife died in August 1956 was 4 Johannesburg Gardens, Newall Green, Manchester. He passed away in Manchester on 6 February 1959.

Medals are in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold together with copied research and two sterling silver bowling medallions - one for Runner-Up in Wilbraham Association Competition dated 1948, and a Sheridan Cup medallion - as Winner in 1951. Please note the discrepancy in the service number.
