Horace Rimington (sometimes Rimmington) was born in Somercotes, Lincolnshire on 8 July 1877 and was 38 years old when he attested for service with the Royal Engineers at Chatham on 6 March 1915. A Carpenter by trade he was assigned to the 142nd Field Coy before being transferred to 553 Works Coy RE.
He was Wounded in Action on 15 August 1917 and was transferred to the Reserve in 1919. According to the 1939 Register he was a Carpenter and Joiner living at 11 Dale Road, Buxton.
He passed away in 1950.
Medals are in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold together with copied research, his original birth certificate and a press cutting of his funeral. Please note the variation in the spelling of the surname.
