Egypt Medal clasp Tel-el-Kebir (G. HARDING. GUNR. R.M.A.); Khedive's Star 1882 - unnamed as awarded.

George Harding was born in Leicester on 29 September 1860. He enlisted with the Royal Marines on 29 July 1881 and was awarded the Egypt Medal and Khedive's Star for service at the battle of Te-el-Kebir in Egypt on 13 September 1882 whilst serving with the 11th Company.

Harding's service was punctuated by a number of imprisonments and he spent quite a bit of time in the cells in what was a very indisciplined period of service. He was described as being of Indifferent Character but, despite this, extended his service to include WWI where he earned the British War Medal which is not included. He was discharged in 1919.

Medals are in good condition unless otherwise indicated. Sold with some research. The British War Medal is not included.
