Recruit Duma Grunshi served with the Gold Coast Constabulary in the Northern Territories of West Africa during the troubles there in 1897/8.
After the award of the medal had been sanctioned in 1900, Duma received his medal off the roll dated 6 March 1901 at Cantonements in Accra. The Gold Coast Constabulary being the largest contingent in the expeditions in the hinterland of Lagos (Nigeria) and the Northern territories of the Gold Coast (Ghana) between Sept 1897 and June 1898.
Medal is in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold with copy of medal roll confirming medal and clasp.
