India General Service Medal clasp North West Fronter 1930-31 (546029 TPR. N. AUTY. 15-19 H.)
Newman Auty was born in Alverthorpe on 28 May 1908. He was a Mine Worker from Pontifract when he attested for service with the Royal Tank Corps on 21 April 1926 and was posted to the 15-19th Hussars on 12 November 1926. It was with them that he saw service on the North West Frontier in 1930-31. He was discharged in 1938 and passed away in Wakefield, Yorkshire on 29 January 1993.
