James Alexander Wyllie was a Civil Engineer when he served in WWI. Enlisting with the Army Service Corps on 2 March 1916 (deemed), he was called up on 31 May 1917 and proceeded to Salonika. He transferred to the Royal Engineers on 15 May 1918 and, whilst with them, was diagnosed with Malaria and Rheumatism - spending time in hospitals in both Taranto and Marseilles.
Post-war he relocated to Exeter in Devon from his native Scotland and passed away there in June 1974.
