Alfred James Saunders was born in Amersham, Bucks on 22 June 1884. He enlisted with the Royal Flying Corps as a Fitter (Air Mechanic) on 31 May 1916 and was posted to France on 27 August 1916. He served in that theatre with 10 Squadron until his discharge on 16 January 1919.
According to the 1921 England census he was a Brick Maker employed by Webster & Cannon Builders and was living in Burcott Lane, Bierton with Boughton, Bucks. The 1939 Register has him as a General Labourer at a Brickworks and living at 3 Burcott Lane, Bierton, Aylesbury.
Medals are in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold with R.A.F. record and other research.
