Charles Henry Vernon Smith was born in Oxford, Grenville County, Ontario, Canada on 15 July 1886. He qualified as a Physician at the University of Montreal before attesting for service on 13 September 1915 with the Canadian Expeditionary Force for service in France in WWI.

Having returned from the Front, he succumbed to Pneumonia on 1 November 1918 - just 10 days before the end of the war - and is buried in the Seaford Cemetery, Sussex.

Medals are in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold with extracts from his personnel file.
