Private Mullins served with the 2nd Yorkshire Light Infantry in some of the epic early engagements of the Anglo Boer War in South Africa, before succumbing to Enteric Fever at Hoopstad in the Orange Free State on 28 May 1900. 

Confusingly, the casualty roll uses the initial "M", whereas the medal is impressed with the initial "A". 

Medal is in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold with medal rolls indicating that he was also entitled to the India General Service Medal clasp Punjab Frontier 1897-98 which is not included.
