Rocket Apparatus Long Service Medal GVR (GEORGE ALLEN DOBSON) - in case of issue
George Allen Dobson was born on 26 April 1894 in Blyth, Northumberland. According to the 1901 census he was an 8 year old boy in the house of his father, William Dobson, a Watchmaker (Retail) living at 4 Bondicar Terrace, Waterloo, Blyth.
The 1921 census has him living at Wensleydale Terrace, Blyth. He was employed by
Dobson was awarded the Rocket Apparatus Long Service Medal, Blyth Haven Division, Sunderland, on 8 June 1934. The 1939 Register records him as being a Ferry Skipper living at 20 Gordon Road, Blyth. He died in 1965.
The medal is in good condition unless otherwise indicated. Sold with some research. See C1003377 for father's medals.
