Defence Medal; Special Constabulary Long Service Medal GVIR bars Long Service 1946 & 1955 (ALGERNON POOLE)
Algernon Poole was born in Harmston. Lincolnshire on 2 March 1903. He was, according to the 1939 Register, a Council Labourer living in Manor Lane. North Kesteven, Lincolnshire. He was also a Special Constable.
He was slightly injured in February 1975 when, at the age of 71, he was cycling on the Grantham Road at Waddington when he was struck by a car driven by Gordon Haigh.
Poole died in Lincolnshire in April 1982
