Silver War Badge (244617) - attributed to 3432 Pte Walter A Mitchel 18-London Regiment
Walter Albert Mitchel, sometimes Mitchell, was born in Battersea, London in July 1894. He enlisted for service in WWI with the 18-London Regiment and was posted to France on 2 January 1916. He was severely wounded in action - Bomb Wound Left Elbow, Compound Fracture to Humerus and Ulna - on 7 April 1917 and, unable to effectively function as a soldier, he was awarded the Silver War Badge and discharged on 12 September 1917.
Badge is in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold with some research.
